What sort of things are possible on your wedding day?
Welcome drink on arrival
A cocktail catering service for weddings from Bar Company is about more than just serving drinks. Our bartenders travel to the wedding venue in their own vans, set up the entire bar in advance and serve your guests throughout the event. The three key moments when cocktails make all the difference:
Cocktail bar during the reception and party
The moment guests arrive is when the tone for the day is set. A signature cocktail in their hand within a minute of arriving works better than a lukewarm glass of prosecco waiting on a table. We discuss in advance which welcome drink suits the bride and groom best: a classic such as a Bellini, a seasonal creation or a cocktail named after the couple.
Non-alcoholic cocktails for all guests
A continuous bar service throughout the reception and evening party. Classic drinks, two or three signature cocktails tailored to your menu, and, optionally, a flair element where bartenders put on a show between orders.
For large weddings (100+ guests), we set up two bars to avoid queues.
Mocktails are a regular feature of our menu. For pregnant guests, children, guests who are driving and those who do not drink alcohol, we serve the same three to five signature cocktails in alcohol-free versions. Take a look at our non-alcoholic cocktails for the full map.

What’s included in our cocktail catering service for your wedding?
Bar Company delivers everything to the venue. Included in the standard wedding cocktail catering package:
- Certified, experienced bartenders (1 bartender for every 50–60 guests)
- A complete bar set-up including bar equipment, glasses, ice and garnishes
- All ingredients are fresh and tailored to the chosen menu
- Warm-up 60–90 minutes beforehand and cool-down afterwards
- Personalised cocktail menu, to be agreed with the bride and groom
- Nationwide coverage within 100 km of Nijmegen; travel costs included
With 16 years’ experience and 2,500 events a year, we know exactly where weddings can go wrong: a bar that runs out of stock at the wrong moment, guests having to wait too long for their drinks, or bartenders who don’t know how to handle a tricky situation. Our staff work independently and sort out problems before they become an issue for the bride and groom.
Take a look at our cocktail catering page for more information on our catering options and an overview of how we operate.

How much does cocktail catering cost at a wedding?
From €995
excl. VAT
Tailored to each event
Request a quoteCocktail catering for weddings starts at €995 excluding VAT for a basic package: one bartender, a complete bar set-up, three signature cocktails and up to approximately 60 guests for three hours’ service. From there, the price scales up based on four factors: the number of guests, the duration of the service, the chosen cocktail menu and any extras such as a flair demonstration or a second bar for large weddings.
A wedding for 120 guests with continuous service from 18:00 to 02:00 is priced differently from a reception for 50 guests lasting two hours. A 30-minute welcome drink is a different format to an evening party with five hours of bar service. We calculate each bespoke quote based on the actual schedule.
Travel costs are included for distances of up to 100 km from Nijmegen. For venues outside this radius, we will discuss the logistics during the quotation meeting. We travel to every province in the Netherlands and have experience with weddings at castles, farmhouses, gardens, event venues and historic town centres.
We do not compete on the lowest price. Vendors advertising prices starting at €450 cater for smaller weddings without the overheads that come with scale. With over 100 staff and 2,500 events a year, Bar Company is the choice for couples who want the assurance that their wedding will run exactly as promised.

Bar Company at your wedding: 16 years and over 2,500 events
Many couples choose Bar Company because you don’t get a second chance at your wedding day. We have 16 years’ experience and organise over 2,500 events a year, including dozens of weddings every season. Our review score on Klantenvertellen is 9.3, based on hundreds of reviews.
Our capacity guarantee makes all the difference at large weddings. With over 100 staff members, we can provide the right people even for events with 200 guests or at short notice. For couples who wish to combine their bar service with other concepts, we offer a single quote for multiple services on the same day:
- Cocktail bar and hire champagne hostesses for the reception
- Cocktail bar and Hire a barista for your wedding for your morning or late-night coffee
- A cocktail bar and a separate mocktail bar for children and non-drinkers
One point of contact, one coordinator on the day, one final invoice. That saves the bride and groom ten separate emails and just as many phone calls during the hectic weeks leading up to the wedding day.

Planning ahead for the wedding season
Popular wedding dates from May to September are quickly booked up. For a wedding on a Saturday in June, we recommend booking at least four to six months in advance. Outside the peak season (November, February), there is usually still availability at short notice, but don’t count on it.
Once the quote has been confirmed, the bride and groom are assigned a single point of contact at Bar Company. That person coordinates the cocktail menu, any tastings, the numbers, the timing on the day itself and the final briefing for the bartenders. Two weeks before the wedding, everything is finalised, and on the day itself, everything runs exactly as discussed.

Weddings we have worked on in the past
Over the past few seasons, we’ve organised, amongst other things, a garden wedding for 80 guests in Brabant with a welcome drink on the terrace and a bar open throughout dinner, a castle wedding in Gelderland with two bars (one at the reception, one by the dance floor) and an industrial-style wedding in Amsterdam-Noord with a signature cocktail named after the bride and groom. What all these weddings had in common was that we took care of the organisational side, not the bride and groom.
We help you think through the little details that can make or break the evening. Examples from previous weddings: the barman noticing that the groom has been forgotten a drink and bringing it to him without being asked, postponing the welcome drink by ten minutes because the photographer is still busy, or anticipating a spontaneous toast halfway through dinner by having extra glasses ready. You can’t plan those kinds of moments in advance; you simply react to them.
For large weddings (150+ guests), we send out a logistics checklist in advance and carry out a site visit if the venue is new to us. This helps to avoid any surprises on the day itself and gives the bride and groom an extra opportunity to speak with the coordinator in charge of the bar service.
