The unique BC Espresso Blend
When you hire a barista with a coffee bar, you want something special. Otherwise, you could have just bought a bag of coffee at the supermarket, right?
That's why we serve a very special specialty coffee that's not available in stores. A coffee that not only tastes delicious, but is also good for the planet. We'd love to tell you more about the coffee we serve: our own BC Espresso Blend.
Our coffee is traceable via Blockchain
Together with Brinks Coffee Roasters, we have developed our own coffee blend. The journey of our coffee beans is fully traceable and recorded via Blockchain (Ethereum). The coffee comes directly from the farmer, without intermediaries. This is guaranteed by the Farmers Direct label.
In addition, our coffee carries the Rainforest Alliance label . This label guarantees nature conservation and good conditions for the coffee farmer.
Oyster mushrooms
We separate the coffee grounds left over from brewing coffee. We take them to De Versfabriek, where oyster mushrooms are grown on our coffee grounds.
How does the coffee taste?
The BC coffee blend has a wonderful, round, and sweet flavor with minimal acidity. This is how we transform an everyday cup of coffee into a true experience. Watch the video;
What is specialty coffee?
Specialty coffee is a quality designation. The top 5% of all coffees can be called specialty coffee. Specialty coffee is characterized by its strong aroma. This means the coffee has unique flavor characteristics. A coffee can be called specialty coffee when it scores at least 85 out of 100 points in the testing and tasting process, also known as "cupping." The coffee is assessed on 11 different points.
