Freelance barista work at events
Working as a freelancer on-site barista It’s the best job you could possibly have. One day you’re working at a trade fair stand, the next at a staff party, and the following week you’re serving at a wedding reception in a garden. Your mission is to ensure all the guests enjoy really good coffee and to put a smile on their faces!

There are two ways to work at Bar Company as a freelance barista:
- Based in Nijmegen
You’ll set off from our office in Nijmegen. You’ll be provided with a van containing everything you need – from the mobile bar with a coffee machine to the cartons of milk. You’ll set up the bar yourself, run the event, and afterwards you’ll pack everything away and drive back to Nijmegen. Sometimes you’ll work with a second barista, but usually you’ll run the coffee bar on your own. The advantage of this option is that you’ll clock up plenty of hours. You’ll be paid in full for the set-up and dismantling, as well as the journey there and back.

- Travelling directly to the event
We’re also looking for freelance baristas who can travel directly to the event venue. Think, for example, of a trade fair where we’re providing coffee at several stands. These exhibition stands often need to be set up a day in advance, so we’ll make sure everything is already in place by the time you arrive. And you don’t need to worry about taking it all down either. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

What do we expect from our freelance baristas?
You’ve clocked up plenty of hours behind the coffee machine and are capable of running a coffee bar independently. This means you can put yourself in our customers’ shoes and take care of their needs. You’re also very hospitable towards our guests. You treat our equipment as if it were your own. But the most important thing is that you possess these qualities, because these are our core values:
- Flexible
- Enthusiastic
- Welcoming
- Responsible
You’ll also need to present yourself well, as you’ll be acting as Bar Company’s ambassador on site. Our bars are stylish and the coffee is excellent. But it’s our enthusiastic baristas behind the coffee bars who really make the difference.
Delivering barista training courses
Do you have the necessary experience and do you enjoy delivering training sessions? If so, you could also work as a trainer. As well as experienced senior baristas, we also work with junior baristas. These are mainly students from Nijmegen. Our junior baristas receive regular training to help them improve further and eventually become senior baristas. We are looking for additional trainers for these training sessions in Nijmegen.

What can you expect?
The best part-time job you could ever have!
- You’ll be working in a really friendly team of seventy baristas and bartenders
- You’ll experience the most amazing parties and events
- You’ll visit the most beautiful places all over the country
- The work is incredibly varied because every event is different
- And you can earn good money from it too!
