Who is BC?
It’s great that you’re reading on!
Bar Company is a young business based in Nijmegen that operates in the events sector. No two days are the same here, and we place great importance on enjoying our work. Read more About Bar Company.
To enable us to continue our growth, we are offering a role in one of the key positions within our organisation.
What are you going to do?
You’ll be the main point of contact for our part-time baristas and bartenders working at events. You’ll also act as the link between these part-timers and our colleagues in the office. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Your duties will be varied and will broadly consist of the following:
Recruitment & Selection
Partly thanks to you, there is a steady stream of suitable applicants. You are also the one who conducts the job interviews and decides who is hired.
After-sales
Once the assignment is complete, every client is contacted by telephone to discuss how it went. You share the resulting information with the relevant departments and individuals.
Development programmes & BarCademy
We believe that variety and professional development enhance job satisfaction. That is why you will be responsible for developing and monitoring our colleagues’ knowledge, skills and competences.
For example, you’ll ensure that our baristas and bartenders receive regular training at our BarCademy.
Fun
You can earn money anywhere. That’s why enjoying your work is just as important. That’s why you’re also committed to staff satisfaction.
Collective Labour Agreement & policy
You will develop and implement HR guidelines, procedures and tools. You will also oversee compliance with collective agreement provisions and statutory requirements. Finally, you will initiate policy improvements and contribute ideas on strategic issues.

Your new team
Team BC consists of a group of one hundred baristas and bartenders who work on-site. In addition, there’s our twenty-strong office team, comprising management, finance, sales, logistics and HR. You’ll be working in the latter department, which currently consists of two top performers and an intern. The whole office team has lunch together every day (and we’ll provide your lunch).

Who are you?
You’re a star. That means that whenever you take on a task, it gets sorted. You’re a good communicator, presentable and a pleasure to work with.
- You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking
- You have at least three years’ experience in a dynamic HR role
- You thrive in a team of young people
- You have a pragmatic approach and you work in a structured way
- A ‘get (sh)it done’ mindset (in a positive sense)
