The cost of a smoothie bar depends on three factors: the number of smoothies, the duration of the event and the type of bar. Fresh smoothies are prepared on the spot and therefore cannot be compared to standard soft drinks.

What is a ‘shake’ bike?

We’ve connected a blender to a high-quality exercise bike. This blender isn’t powered by electricity, but works solely by pedalling. So, by getting some exercise, you can make your own smoothie! This makes the shake bike the perfect combination of technology, sustainability and energy!

How many smoothies should I order?

Good question! If you allow for about 1.5 drinks per guest, you’ll be fine.

You’ll find that your guests are happy to leave their soft drinks behind when there’s a smoothie bar available. After all, you don’t drink fresh smoothies every day. They’re now ‘up for grabs’, whereas in town you’d pay at least €5 each for one. And because we make several different varieties, there are always plenty of people who are ‘curious to see what the other flavours are like’.

What sort of cups do you use?

You’ll receive generous 250ml smoothie cups. As we don’t want to use plastic, our cups and straws are made from PLA. PLA is the environmentally friendly alternative to plastic.

Which smoothies will I get?

At your event, we always make three types of smoothies or juices. This means there’s always something for everyone. Over the past 10 years, we’ve made just about every possible smoothie at least once. As a result, we know exactly which smoothies and juices are popular at events. We’ve put together a lovely menu featuring these healthy drinks. We take different colours and flavours into account when designing the menu. The menu changes with the seasons, so you’ll get truly summery drinks in the summer. Do you have a preference for a particular ingredient? Let us know, and we’ll add it to your menu.

What are the dimensions of the smoothie bars?

This varies depending on the bar unit. The largest bar measures 2m x 0.82m when in transport mode. All mobile bars fit through a standard 0.85m door. The smoothie bars range from 1m to 2m in length and can be linked together to form an extra-large bar. Are you unsure whether the bar can turn or whether it will fit in the lift? Please always mention this when you book. That way, we can check which smoothie bar is the most suitable.

If you can set aside a floor area of 2.5 metres wide by 2 metres deep (per bar) at your venue, you’ll always be fine.

Do I have to choose a bar unit myself?

Not at all. Our 90% customers don’t have a preference for any particular bar unit. It just needs to look good, and you can always count on that with Bar Company. After looking at our photos, do you have a preference for a mobile smoothie bar? If so, please let us know, and we’ll take this into account.

How much does it cost to hire a smoothie bar?

The cost of hiring a smoothie bar depends on a number of factors. These include the number of smoothies, the number of bartenders and the number of hours. As a general guide, you can use the following figures.

€33 per hour for an enthusiastic bartender
€3.40 for fresh vegetables and fruit smoothie (250ml)

Can I put my logo on something?

Absolutely. We do a lot of work for businesses and on exhibition stands And so we know just how important ‘branding’ is. If you send us your logo, we’ll include it on the menus free of charge. We can also give the smoothies corporate names – think of the ‘your company’ smoothie. Every party is held for a reason, and we’re happy to help you communicate that.

How do you approach the issue of sustainability and plastic?

It’s great that you’re interested in this! Back in 2015, we decided we wanted to operate in a socially responsible way. We’ve been hard at work ever since. We’ve reduced our energy consumption by 70% and meet a large proportion of our own energy needs with a roof full of solar panels and several charging points. In addition, we calculate the CO₂ emissions generated by providing catering at your venue. We offset these emissions on a 1:1 basis by investing in tree-planting projects. Finally, we use sustainable ingredients wherever possible and have developed our own sustainable coffee blend. So you could certainly say that we’re a sustainable caterer are.

What do I need to sort out myself?

We’ll sort everything out, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. We’ll bring everything we need with us. Isn’t that great?

What happens when we’ve reached the agreed number of smoothies?

‘Selling out of ’No’ at your party isn’t an option, which is why we always bring along some extra ingredients and cups. Of course, these aren’t unlimited, so it’s important to estimate the number of drinks you’ll need in advance.

When we’re almost at the agreed number of juices or smoothies, we’ll let you know. At that point, you can decide whether to close the bar or order a few extra drinks. These extra smoothies cost the same per serving as the smoothies in the quote. We will never make any extra drinks without your approval or that of the ‘event manager’. This way, you’ll never be faced with any surprises afterwards.

We’d like to know roughly how many smoothies we’ll need to make, how long you’d like us to be there, and which bar you’d like to hire.
