Smoking cocktails – how do they work?
Our cocktail shakers can add ‘dry ice’ to any cocktail. Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide, also known as CO2 It is known as dry ice and has a temperature of –80º. Dry ice is also used, for example, in the theatre to create low-hanging smoke on stage. When the dry ice comes into contact with the liquid in the cocktail, it immediately evaporates into a gas, creating a smoke effect. The cocktail’s delicious flavour remains unchanged, and the drink continues to produce smoke for at least three minutes.
The ‘waaaauw’ effect
Cocktails are, of course, incredibly cool as it is, but when they’re smoking as well, you’ll see people’s jaws literally drop. So you can be sure that plenty of photos will be taken and then shared on social media. If you’re looking for something special, we’d be happy to tell you more about how dry ice works and the possibilities for smoking cocktails at your party. Tel. 088 2035100

Adding CO₂ to cocktails is particularly suitable for Gin and Tonic bar, the non-alcoholic cocktail bar or us cocktail laboratory.
Are smoking cocktails safe?
Absolutely. We’ve already used dry ice to make cocktails at hundreds of parties.
We place a stirring rod in the glass, with a tube at the bottom into which the CO2 is placed inside. This ensures that the dry ice cannot come into contact with your lips or be swallowed. What’s more, our cocktail shakers are true professionals. They’ll explain to your guests what dry ice is and know exactly what to do and what not to do.
Cocktails with a smoke bubble
A second way to add smoke to cocktails is with our Flavor Blaster. The Flavor Blaster is an innovative device capable of infusing cocktails with intense flavours and aromas.

It works using molecular gastronomy technology, whereby ingredients are transformed into tiny particles that are added directly to the drink. This results in an intense burst of flavour that stimulates the senses and goes beyond traditional cooking and flavouring methods. Read more about cocktails with smoke bubbles.
