Stijn Hermsen

You might know someone like that too; someone who’s always cheerful. That’s our Stijn as well. He’s always smiling, PROVIDED he’s had his coffee.

Stijn was born and raised in the Betuwe and has a passion for technology. Even as a young boy, he used to tinker away in his father’s shed, putting together his own go-kart and trampoline. These days, he’s still tinkering there, only now he’s working on his Zwarte Cross caravan.

From the moment Stijn joined Bar Company, a new passion emerged: coffee. After successfully completing his degree in business economics, Stijn decided to delve deeper into the world of coffee and, amongst other things, obtained his barista qualifications.

Stijn has now discovered the synergy that comes from combining technology, business and coffee at Bar Company Coffee Machines. Stijn is in charge of the entire operation of this sister company to Bar Company. And how! What began with five coffee machines has now grown to more than 200. BCK is the preferred supplier to major organisations such as Douwe Egberts, Jaarbeurs, Sligro and Vermaat. The world’s largest festivals are also among BCK’s regular clients. Think, for example, of Concert at Sea, Formula 1 and Tomorrowland.

It’s hard to say whether Stijn would survive without coffee. What we do know is that every morning, Stijn starts by saying ‘good morning’ to all his machines before greeting his colleagues.

So, do you have a question about coffee machines, or would you like to try drinking 9,000 cups of coffee in a single day? Then Stijn is the man for the job.
