Last week, we served some very special smoothies at a trade fair stand. At the ‘Big Data Smoothie Bar’ at Axians exhibition stand visitors could go there to have their own bespoke Big Data Smoothies! Using Big Data, we create the perfect recipe and serve up a unique smoothie which is perfectly suited to the visitor.
How do we make these smoothies?
Axians has developed an app that uses a series of questions to come up with the perfect smoothie recipe. Two hostesses ask these questions via an iPad, after which the app presents the perfect recipe. The Visitors are given a ticket showing their smoothie choice, which they can present at our bar. We use this ticket to prepare the healthy drinks, after which the visitor also rates the smoothie. Based on this evaluation, we will be able to draw conclusions about the quality of our drinks and whether the smoothie prediction system actually worked! We may even be able to improve and optimise the decision-making model.
