Let’s get started!
Busy, cosy, exciting, and above all, truly special. That’s how we’d describe last week, when we drove to Stuttgart and had the opportunity to take part in the world’s largest trade fair for roller shutters and sun protection. We were manning Entrematic’s stand on their behalf. For five days, we provided the full catering service for all the companies affiliated with the parent company Entrematic: Normstahl, Dynaco, Nergeco, Ditec and EM. The stand featured a bar at least 15 metres long, where we set up our espresso machines and blenders.
Visitors to the trade fair and colleagues from our subsidiaries were invited to the stand to take a breather from the massive event (10 halls with a total exhibition floor area of 120,000 m²!). The Entrematic team consisted of Belgians, Dutch, French and Italians, but we welcomed people of many other nationalities to the stand as well.
Trade fair stand catering
Our baristas were hired for preparing and serving thousands of latte art coffees. In addition, the customer wanted a hire a smoothie bar and there was a need for exciting, refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails. We also set up water stations with fruit-infused water, and our homemade muffins and brownies proved very popular. So popular, in fact, that we had to order another 200 because we ran out. Every afternoon, there was a lively get-together at the stand, where we served beer, soft drinks and wine.
Working together at the exhibition stand
With an exhibition stand covering more than 600m² (!), our centrally positioned bar briefly became the beating heart of Entrematic. Both casual passers-by and key contacts were drawn into the stand by the enormous bar and our products, tempted to stop for a drink and a chat. As a result, our colleagues from Entrematic were kept busy virtually the whole time. This is vital for building relationships and doing good business, because as they say in Germany: ‘Rain brings blessings’! Naturally, the huge influx of visitors at peak times led to a massive rush, but our team worked like a well-oiled and highly efficient machine and was thus able to handle the crowds with ease. Not only was it a pleasure to work together as a team, but also with the Entrematic stand crew. The result was a very pleasant and enthusiastic collaboration, as experienced by both sides. It was such a great atmosphere, in fact, that after the exhibition days we all went to a restaurant to celebrate the end of our collaboration.
All in all, it was a very successful and enjoyable week. Everyone went home feeling satisfied, and we received lots of kind words of praise from Entrematic. We’d also like to say a few words to everyone at Entrematic: thank you very much, and see you next time!
